Programme and Vacancy overview:
AQUITY Innovations NPC has been appointed by the National Department of Health to serve as one of the GLOBAL FUND TB Sub-Recipients (SRs) in South Africa. The project activities are implemented in Mpumalanga (Ehlanzeni district) and Eastern Cape provinces. (Buffalo City Metro and Amathole District) whilst the head office positions will be based in Pretoria.
As such we seek to employ the following: Social Auxillary Workers (*3) to be based in Eastern Cape – Buffalo City Metro under the following Sub Disricts: East London, Mndantsane and Bisho/KWT.
Contract end date - 30 September 2028
The role of the sub-district social auxillary worker is to provide social support services to TB patients in need. This includes provision of care, support, protection and development of people with TB, their families and communities affected by TB through relevant programs. This position requires a good understanding of the Department of Social Development legislative mandate, policies and progammes, the Batho Pele principles and knowledge of the social services network at district level.
